Activities
At Gjeilo Camping you can relax in the hammock between old pine trees, swim in the river, relax on the sandy beach, fish or rent a canoe. Pedal cars are free to borrow for children here! The campsite is also a great starting point for day trips to Jotunheimen, Reinheimen, or Breheimen. Both Skjåk and Lom municipalities offer a wide variety of beautiful hikes and walks in our immediate surroundings. The campsite is also an excellent base for day trips to the Western Fjords (Vestlandet).
We are located 7 km from the center of Lom. It is approximately a 50-minute drive from Gjeilo Camping to Juvasshytta, the starting point for the hike to Galdhøpiggen (Northern Europe's highest peak). The drive to Geiranger or Stryn takes about 1.5 hours. The drive to our campsite is approximately 5 hours from Oslo and 4.5 hours from Trondheim.
